Tis Night Upon The Hourglass

Daylight descend transition
afternoon to bow to night
Hourglass to slowly pass
our sands upon their flight
Moments caught forever
casting shadows over time
left to smile as all the while
the bell remains to chime
Guarded passion deep in sleep
protect your river's flow
burn inside to self confide
those waters raging so
Upon the banks though sometimes wading
stealthy currents I am cast
yearning pull me under
washing clean at longing last
Ripple rush to pools of pleasure
see that written on your face
a wanton smile that all the while
is quick to find it's place
Burning skin as hot as midday sun
force and fight for love's position
afternoon gave way to night
now night and day transition
