Storied Sun

Night dispel as morning fell
tell dreams and stars alike
storied sun it's heat to come
where hearts and thoughts ignite
There upon the breaking clouds
to sing of passing age
a single ray did light convey
the depth of dreams to gauge
Veiled in misty morning
hopes and time are filling tombs
those who go before us
leading those who go too soon
Burning fast with heat around us
seconds beckon for reprieve
none be found as clocks compound
the truths our heart's conceive
Nothing here forever
