Panther dark and slinky
slide you do into my gaze
claws as slick as midnight, click
with pause upon their prey
Calm and calculating eyes
comprise a hunter's stare
star of midnight's glory
confident and unaware
In the grips of morning
yet another creature preys
raven dark and slinky, stark
as black on black portrays
Heat to burn that emanates
from lips that seem to pray
the panther and the raven
one the hunter, one the prey
