Forest For The Trees

Beauty found in kneeling down
for hallowed halls are these
all in plot though some see not
just forest for the trees
Wrapped adorned like seasons worn
so warm these colors paint
of hope and love and stars above
unto ourselves acquaint
Come to dance in happenstance
not so for all we do
tilt to whirl as things unfurl
yet fit this grander view

A kiss of fire and burning
to her flame forever bound
searing light as lips invite
and savor favors found
Touch of red in heaven's stead
behind those fiery gates
words of love to speak thereof

Thoughts to dance as stars romance
entranced in heaven's sway

Summer's Stead

Gaze ahead in summer's stead
a brighter shade of night
seasons slide as time goes by
and hides her true delights
An eye to see with piety
a heart so wrapped ablaze
still with hope as time revokes
the fruit from youthful days
Like rust and moth and fury wroth
it seems we all decay
none foreseen a shine so clean
serene to soul persuade
Lying back as time exacts
a penance sentence past
