The Meadows of The Heart

Ever fast the winds are blowing
'cross the meadows of the heart
calming breeze, sililoquies
of what the day imparts
Deep where passion's painting
sunlight comes to night dispel
through the misty morning
pouring rays on shadow's veil
Leaves of reminiscence
in remembrance echo still
truthing wind to peace ascend
and mend the broken will
Nearby river raging
diving depths one only knows
mountains made of sorrow
still on them does sunlight show
In the midday sun reflecting
light from hindsight guides the way
further on to midnight
when the final penance pay
Twilight now comes calling
soon return for now depart
ever fast the winds are blowing
'cross the meadows of the heart
